The radio waves heat the tissue beneath the skin's surface causing natural collagen fibers to shrink and stimulating growth of new collagen.

The hand held device used to deliver the energy contains a cryogen spray, which cools the skin's surface before, during and after each radio-frequency pulse. The cryogen prevents burning of the skin. There is a slight redness after the treatment, but no blistering and no recovery time. You can resume normal activities the same day.  Most clients see some results immediately but the maximum tightening and smoothing effects can take 4 to 6 months.
